Ephedrine
What is it?
The Ephedrine and pseudoephedrine according to international law are seen as chemical precursors and are classified as psychotropic substances, either the raw material itself or pharmaceutical products containing them. It can normally be extracted from plants of the Ephedra genus and can also be manufactured synthetically.
Effects and potential risk:
Ephedrineis found in many medical products used to treat such things as stuffy noses, asthma, bronchitis, motion sickness and allergies. Pseudoephedrine and ephedrine can be used in the illicit production of controlled drug methylamphetamine (crystal meth). Many dietary supplements contain ephedrine, which can cause serious and possibly fatal side effects especially when combined with caffeine or other stimulants.

Customs in China found many cases involving dietary supplements shipments containing ephedrine with MS-100.
